Statement der AIPS Europe

17.03.2022 Das AIPS Europe Executive Committee verurteilt den Krieg gegen Ukraine und erklärt seine Unterstützung für die Sportjournalisten-Organisation des angegriffenen Landes. Zudem werden bis auf Weiteres die Kontakte zum russischen und weißrussischen Verband abgebrochen. Der VDS hatte sich der Forderung gegenüber der AIPS Europe früh angeschlossen. sportjournalist.de dokumentiert die Erklärung im Wortlaut. „In view of the current situation resulting from the war conflict of Russia on Ukraine, considering the general support towards Ukraine by the European sports media as well as all leading international sports federations and the International Olympic Committee, AIPS Europe joins with the support towards the Sports Journalists Association of Ukraine and the people who are passing through such a difficult moment.

Result of this, AIPS Europe until the next AIPS Congress suspends all relations with the Sports Journalists’ Associations of Russia and Belarus including communications with AIPS Europe Executive Committee member Ms Nastassia Marynina.“
